You’re Invited: Join Dr. Cohen in Celebration!

NightForSight blog

I know when you opened this you thought I may have been given the Most Improved Golfer Award… but they seemed to have overlooked me for that one.

Instead, but with high gratitude, I am being honored with the Person of Vision Award by Prevent Blindness Georgia (PBGA).

I would like to invite you to join me for the sixth annual Night for Sight Gala on Saturday, October 22, 2022, held in person at the Fox Theater - Egyptian Ballroom. This event supports Prevent Blindness Georgia and its sight-saving programs. I hope you can join me for the celebration!

It is a great tribute to be recognized. I have come to realize that my true mission is to help Prevent Blindness GA in its success and express how impactful this organization is.

This is an opportunity for you to help as well, as nearly 3,000 of the children we screen annually will require intervention!

The majority of your purchase to attend will grant a donation directly to those most vulnerable. Those who tend to fall between the cracks. Those who must choose between putting a meal on the table, treating their child with a curable procedure, or simply providing their child with a pair of glasses.

As your eye doctor, I feel that you have helped in my success of culminating in this recognition. Accordingly, I feel cherished to invite you!

Through its children’s vision screening, PBGA has ensured that our state’s young ones have the best vision possible. These screenings contribute to increasing their likelihood of having academic success, healthy behavior, and positive social development. In addition, the organization has partnered with community agencies serving the homeless, migrant workers, those recovering from addictions, veterans, HIV-positive members of our communities, and strong-willed people escaping domestic violence.

By providing thousands of free eye exams, referrals for eye diseases to healthcare professionals, and eyeglasses to low-income adults, PBGA not only preserves sight but also builds healthy economic independence.

Please mark your calendars to show either a valued supporting guest or join me as a valued Night for Sight sponsor. As a sponsor, you will receive tickets for the event, recognition in event materials, as well as other benefits described in the attached sponsorship opportunities flyer.

I hope you see you there, in support!

Please visit the Prevent Blindness Georgia website to register. Unable to attend? You can also find the opportunity to send a donation at

I remain appreciative of your generosity.
